Gift Acceptance Policy

This gift acceptance policy serves two purposes: first, to assure that all gifts are consistent with the changing ministry needs of the Diocese of Saginaw and its parishes, schools, and related organizations; and second, to provide maximum benefit to the donor and the Catholic Community Foundation of Mid-Michigan (hereafter referred to as “CCFMM”). The goal is to encourage gifts that generate more benefit than cost. In the interest of creating and maintaining good donor relations, all intended gifts will be brought to the attention of the Executive Director of the CCFMM.

Gifts can take many different forms. For the purpose of this policy, gifts include but are not limited to outright gifts such as cash, IRA charitable rollovers, securities, real property, and personal property; and deferred gifts such as bequests, revocable living trusts, gifts of life insurance, gifts of IRAs and/or retirement plans, charitable remainder trusts, and charitable gift annuities.

Changes to this policy are made only with the written consent of the Board of Trustees of the CCFMM. To review or download the entire statement, click on the link below.
