Investment Policies

A comprehensive “Plan” portfolio was established to provide for the collective investment of funds deposited by the Catholic Community Foundation of Mid Michigan for the ministries of the Diocese of Saginaw and its Catholic parishes, schools and organizations. Assets are invested in an effort to obtain a reasonable total rate of return – defined as income plus realized and unrealized capital gains and losses. The returns generated by the Plan’s investments are used to support the mission of delivering services consistent with the policies of the Plan.

Since the Plan is an entity related to the ongoing work of the Catholic Church, the investments are expected to meet the highest standards of moral and ethical practices.

The Investment Policy Statement articulates the investment policy, objectives, responsibilities and constraints of the Plan. This statement is structured to ensure good financial stewardship of the Plan’s assets. To review or download the entire statement, click on the link below.
